Miriam Wills was born in Savannah, Georgia, but since graduating with a BFA from the University of Georgia, she has lived and worked in the New York area. After receiving a master's degree from Hunter College, she taught art for a number of years while painting in the afternoon and evenings.
She has received awards from the Staten Island Museum, the Knickerbocker Club, Manhattan Arts International, American Society of Contemporary Artists, and The Pen & Brush Club.
