Hector Caffieri (1847-1932) Victorian Artist
Hector Caffieri was a fine British watercolourist, who had marvelous tutors having trained in Paris under Léon Bonnat and Jules-Joseph Lefebvre, both great exponents of genre painting and both traditional academicians.
Starting 1880 Caffieri worked and lived in London. Later he settled in Cookham Berkshire and Boulogne-Sur-Mer in France.
He mostly painted fishing scenes, English and French ports, flowers, landscapes and on some occassions, sporting subjects.
