The Church of Our Lady in Esslingen, 1847The son of an artist Bernhard Neher the Elder, Michael started his artistic training at the academy of arts in Munich. He also lived and studied in Italy. He mostly painted the views of Bavarian and Swabian towns and was a honorary member of the Munich Art Academy.
