ReplyDeletedreary paintings, but still have to smile while looking at them.
ReplyDeleteAw. These paintings are so sweet! I like the way he depicts the various animals in them, especially the pigs. Normally, I don't find pigs very interesting. There's just something about the way he paints them, they seem so...playful. All of the paintings do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me how much I love Sowa's work; it is quietly whimsical; very atmospheric. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback, Jody

DeleteFantastic - love the whimsy and the animal themes.
ReplyDeleteThe word "Katzenschinderei" on a picture with cats waiting at a small house entrance means a "knacker's yard for cats". "Eintritt nach Aufruf" - smth. like "Enter when called"
ReplyDelete"Katzenschinderei" means "a knacker's yard for cats". "Eintritt nach Aufruf" on the same picture means "Enter after being called".
