Landscape Painting by American Impressionist Artist Daniel Garber
Landscape painter Daniel Garber (1880–1958) was born in North Manchester, Indiana and studied art at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He also painted figurative interior works. Garber taught art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for over forty years.
Garber married Mary Franklin, who was an art student.
Garber and his wife traveled to Europe, and upon return to America in 1907, they settled at Cuttalossa, Pennsylvania.
The artist earned numerous awards, including a gold medal at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (1915) in San Francisco. In 1913 Garber was elected a member of the National Academy of Design.
