Portrait of a girl in blue is on show at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, glasgow (as are a couple of the others) - it is used to demonstrate the difference cleaning makes - which is why there is a murky third, a not-so mucky middle, and a clean end.
Well worth coming to see (and other Scottish artists on display) - especially as most of these paintings were hidden away when I was growing up, in favour of non-scottish and non-figurative art.
Wow! I'm very lucky that I discovered your blog. I didn't know Norah Gray. Her paintings are awesome! I love this style.
ReplyDeleteAmazing artist, isn't she?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feedback!

Thank you for your note, Jane, I didn't know that.
